Chores

Private alpha · free for friends & family

The chore chart that keeps the books.

Kids check off their chores. You approve them. Chores keeps a running tab of the allowance you owe, so payday is a number — not a negotiation.

Phone app and web. No money moves through Chores.

How it works

Set it up once. Then let the chart do the nagging.

  1. Make the chart

Add each kid’s chores — daily, weekly, or just once — and what each one is worth. Then pick how allowance adds up.

    Feed the dogDaily · $0.50
  2. Kids check things off

They mark a chore done in the app, and it lands in your approval list. No more “did you do it?” shouted up the stairs.

    Feed the dogWaiting for you
  3. You approve. The tab updates.

Approve it or send it back. Approvals, bonuses, and deductions all land on the ledger, so the balance is always current.

What’s inside

The details that end the arguments.

Every chore on the record

A history of every approval, bonus, and payout, plus a calendar of who did what — handy when someone insists they always do the dishes.

Bonuses and deductions

Reward the kindness nobody asked for, or dock the bike left in the rain — one tap, with a note so everyone remembers why.

Extra jobs for extra money

Post jobs kids can grab when they want to earn more. Cooldowns and limits mean nobody washes the car six times a day.

Streaks and achievements

Days in a row add up. Kids watch their streaks grow and earn badges for following through — with an optional streak bonus.

Two parents, one ledger

Invite your co-parent. Approvals, payouts, and balances update live for both of you, so nobody pays out twice.

Phone or browser

Use the phone app or the web. Kids check off chores on whatever device is handy, and everything stays in sync.

Chores keeps the books. You keep the money.

There’s no card to link and nothing to fund. Chores tracks what you owe each kid. You pay out however you already do — cash, a transfer, a trip to the toy store — and log it, so the balance stays honest.

Chores is in a private alpha for friends and family, and it’s free while we build it. In return, tell us what breaks, what’s confusing, and what your kids think of it. They won’t hold back.

Good questions.

Does real money move through Chores?

No. Chores is a ledger, not a bank. It keeps track of what you owe each kid, and you pay them however you like. There’s nothing to link and nothing to fund.

What does it cost?

Nothing during the alpha.

Can both parents use it?

Yes. Invite another parent to your family and you’ll both see chores, approvals, and balances update live.

Do my kids need their own phone?

No. They can use the phone app or a web browser on whatever device you’re comfortable with.

What if something breaks?

Tell us. It’s an alpha, so rough edges are expected, and your feedback decides what we fix first.
